Hi, my name is Rosalind. I’m a two-year-old, 120 pound female St. Bernard who loves to lounge around with my people. I’ll lie on the floor at your feet, but I’d prefer to snuggle on the sofa or in bed right next to you. I’m happy to go on walks, but too much exercise tires me out. Just a quick romp in the yard or a walk around the block is plenty for me.
I’m pretty picky about the other dogs that I’m friends with. To be honest, I’d prefer to be your only dog as I’m very loyal and like to have all of your attention. And a fenced in yard would be delightful so that I don’t have any neighborhood dogs come try to visit me in my yard. I like my privacy! Cats don’t bother me much at all. I just ignore them until they go away. My foster family doesn’t have small children, so I don’t know if I like them or not. But my foster mom says it might be better if the kids were a little older since I have no spacial awareness and might knock little ones down trying to cuddle with them.
I’m completely housebroken, so you don’t have to worry about that. I know “sit” and “down”, but “come” is more for when I no longer have any distractions. Maybe you could work on that with me! I am really good on the leash. I won’t pull unless I see another dog that I want to bark at. If that happens, my new harness seems to make it easier for me to get back on track for our walks. I tried the crate, but I really didn’t like how tiny it was. While I might be sad the first few times that you have to leave me in the house alone, once I get comfortable that you’ll return, I’m fine lounging around in a bedroom until you get back.
