“Hi, my name is Marney! I am a 5 year old Beagle, 23 pounds, and quite a good, sweet little lady! Not much is known about my past, but my foster mom says I am a classic beagle, very friendly with people and pups, confident, and VERY cute though sometimes stubborn! I’d love to curl up with you on the couch or just about anywhere! I am not high energy or a couch potato, I do enjoy multiple walks a day so I can get lots of sniffs and meet new people and pups! When I came to live with my foster mom, I had a reputation of being an “escape artist” backing out of harnesses and collars, but my foster mom walks me in a gentle leader and I am doing great with it!
So far, I have not shown much interest in playing with my senior foster brother, or my 6 month old foster brother, though I do enjoy the presence of other dogs! I could be a single pup, though a canine family member would make me happy. The best canine family member would be one who can match my chill, polite energy (read: I prefer my laid back senior foster brother to my more, boisterous 6 month old foster brother!) I was tested with cats before coming to my foster home, and did fine! I am potty trained, and have just started working on my crate training. I am making progress, but I am still learning and will need a forever family willing to help me keep learning to love it! I promise my snuggles and butt wiggles are more than worth it!”
