Hi, I’m Joey, I’m a little over one, a male and a hound mix! I weigh about 38 lbs but need to gain a few pounds. I came from a shelter in Kentucky where I was super scared and wouldn’t let anyone pet or feed me. When my foster mom heard my story she knew that she had to help. It only took one weekend for me to start coming out of my shell! My furry foster brothers have shown me what it means to really be a dog, and I will need a confident, outgoing, furry brother/sister in my forever home. I have made a lot of progress socializing and once I come out of my shell I act like an adorable puppy who loves to lay next to you. The world is a scary place and I can still get really nervous, but I hope that you will give me a chance and continue teaching me how wonderful life in a loving home can be.
